Hmmm year ago…. FAILURE! And Android is approaching the zenith of overtaking Apple. Thus proving Microsoft’s business model is superior.

dude linux is fucking pointless in almost anything ur trying to do, also almost all distros are slow now compared to windows… linux software will always suck, u are already better off using android rather than linux as a casual user

You can dual boot Linux distros on many Android devices anyway, so I personally use both :P
Apple will NEVER be able to do that!

You know what ,they should try running ubuntu on tab, i think that would be awesome coz, it UI as it is(Unity) is suitable for tabs only.I mean- that annoying side bar provides more ease of access in a tab

Ah! Women and machinery…not a good mix. Bottom line just another shit tablet. Weak ass processor, Give me dual/quad core processors running at least 1.6 Ghz. Give me a min of 1 gig ram upgradeable to 2 gig. An SSD 32 gig HD would be fab. Not to mention USB, Wi-Fi, and Micro SD support. and it must be x86-64 compatible. OK, now we are talking minimum specs. here.

I’m glad that desktop OSes are returning to tablets. I couldn’t see a point in owning what is essentially another smartphone, just with a bigger screen and often no data plan.

Don’t you think “SCREW YOU ANDROID” is kinda harsh? I don’t think that’s what they are saying. It’s more like “Tablets? I’m in.” lol…

How is Linux not suitable for a hand held device? The kernel is not bloated, it can be compiled with as little or as many drivers as you want. You can get kernel image sizes down to 2MB. Besides its not like we have a flash memory shortage on today’s hand held devices. Stop spreading baseless FUD, troll.

And seriously Plan9? It is an interesting OS but never gained any traction in the real world. It is however being researched for super computing, IBM ported it to Blue Gene.

Hard to say, not any more. A fork is still a fork in the good or bad.

it should be an age of plan9, not unix anymore, linux is just a bloated kernel and it isn’t suitable for handheld device. It works because it JUST works.
