Intro to Linux Commands

by Lanh on September 22, 2012

This video is a complete beginners guide to some common commands used in Linux. I really wanted to demonstrate some of the very basics, showing proper syntax and some helpful tips. These basics are very important, the only way to really get good at Linux commands is to practice so stick to it. Here is a link to the commands that I included in this video dadistro.com

Thank you for this video. You really helped me out a lot. It’s refreshing to watch a helpful video to go with the pile of Linux books that I’ve been studying. THANKS and keep up the good work!

Please keep these coming. I have learned more in this one video than my professor told me in a week of class. You’re a hero.

Are these commands supposed to work with the Cygwin Windows environment as well? Because I typed them in and most of them don’t work.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your speaking slowly while showing each step, all too often in How To internet tutorials, the curser races over the page while the voice is a breathless gabble. This is just what I need.
